Sealed vials tolerate ambient temperature in transit and keep at −20 °C beyond that. Reconstitute slowly down the vial wall, swirl rather than shake, then refrigerate at 2–8 °C and aliquot before freezing.

Telomerase research
The best-known claim is that Epitalon increases telomerase activity, the enzyme maintaining the protective caps on chromosome ends. Supporting evidence comes from a small number of cell culture studies and has not been broadly reproduced by independent groups. 1

Epitalon is the synthetic stand-in for a pineal gland extract, and much of the original work examined melatonin rhythms and age-related changes in that gland.
Peptide bioregulator theory
It is the flagship compound of a Russian research tradition proposing that very short peptides act as direct gene regulators. That framework is not widely accepted outside those groups, which is worth knowing when reading the Epitalon literature.
