About this group
Nothing in this group is a peptide. These are the consumables that sit beside them on the bench: the solvent a lyophilised vial is reconstituted with, and the items used to handle it. They are catalogued here because they are ordered alongside the research peptides, not because they share anything with them. Every item ships in a box of 10 vials at a published price.

About this group
Bacteriostatic water and sterile water
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. The preservative inhibits bacterial growth once the stopper has been pierced, so a lab can enter the same vial more than once. Sterile water has no preservative and is meant for a single use.
The preservative does not change the peptide's own stability in solution. A mixed vial still needs refrigerating. USP <797> gives a punctured, preserved multi-dose vial 28 days. That limit comes from contamination testing, not from the peptide.
Our bacteriostatic water guide covers the differences in more detail. Reconstituted peptide shelf life covers how long a mixed vial keeps.
Common questions
What are Lab Supplies?
