About this group
How semax, selank, pinealon and DSIP differ
Semax is an analogue of the ACTH(4-10) fragment. Selank is an analogue of tuftsin, a peptide from the immune system. Both are registered medicines in Russia and neither is approved in the UK, EU or US. Most of the published work on each has not been widely replicated outside Russia.
Pinealon is a three-residue peptide from the Khavinson bioregulator series. Its proposed mechanism, acting on gene expression directly, has little independent support. DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) was first described in the 1970s. Research since then is sparse, and its role in the body remains unconfirmed.
