Comparison
CJC-1295 With DAC vs Without DAC
Both are sold under the same name, which causes a lot of confusion. They behave very differently, and the difference is a single chemical modification.

In detail
What the research actually compares
Descriptions of published research activity and findings. Nothing here is a claim about what these products do, or a statement that either is safe or effective for any purpose.
What DAC actually is
The DAC modification adds a reactive group that forms a covalent bond with albumin in the bloodstream. Albumin circulates for weeks, so the peptide is carried along with it rather than being cleared quickly. The 2006 study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism reported dose-dependent growth hormone elevations of 2 to 10 fold and IGF-1 elevations of 1.5 to 3 fold sustained over 9 to 11 days after a single subcutaneous dose.
Why the non-DAC form exists
Without DAC, the compound is essentially modified GRF 1-29, sometimes called Mod GRF 1-29. Its short duration is the point: research into pulsatile growth hormone release needs a stimulus that rises and falls, which a compound circulating for over a week cannot provide. The two forms answer different experimental questions.
The naming problem
A great deal of material sold simply as CJC-1295 is the non-DAC form. Because the names are used loosely across the market, the only reliable way to know which you have is the molecular weight on the batch COA. The DAC form is heavier by the mass of the added complex.
Combination with ghrelin agonists
Both forms are frequently studied alongside a ghrelin receptor agonist such as ipamorelin, on the reasoning that a GHRH analogue and a ghrelin agonist act on different receptors in the same axis. We supply that pairing pre-combined at 5 mg of each per vial.
Common questions
What does DAC stand for in CJC-1295?
Drug Affinity Complex. It is a maleimidoproprionic acid group that binds the peptide to serum albumin, extending its circulating half-life from minutes to days.
Is CJC-1295 without DAC the same as Mod GRF 1-29?
Effectively yes. CJC-1295 without DAC is the tetrasubstituted GRF 1-29 sequence, commonly called modified GRF 1-29 or Mod GRF 1-29. The names are used interchangeably across the market.
How do I tell which form I have received?
Check the molecular weight on the batch COA. The DAC form is heavier by the mass of the added complex. Supplier labelling alone is not reliable, because both forms are widely sold under the bare name CJC-1295.
