Short synthetic tripeptide from the Khavinson bioregulator series

Pinealon

Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide of glutamic acid, aspartic acid and arginine, from the Russian peptide bioregulator programme associated with Vladimir Khavinson. It belongs to a family of very short peptides proposed to act by entering cells and interacting with DNA directly rather than through a cell-surface receptor. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed vials, boxed in tens, for laboratory research use only. The literature on this family is almost entirely Russian in origin and thinner in English-language databases than its marketing suggests.

DocumentationBatch-specific COA (Janoshik or Freedom Diagnostic)

These are catalogue target specifications, not batch results. The 99%+ purity figure is the specification we buy to. The authoritative figures for any particular box are the ones printed on that box’s Certificate of Analysis, which is lot-specific.

We make no “third-party verified” claim for a batch unless the matching report is supplied with it. Ask for the current COA for the lot in stock before you order — we will send it.

Pricing

How much does Pinealon cost?

Pinealon starts at $6.58 per vial (£5.20), sold in boxes of 10 at $65.75. One box is the smallest order and there is no trade account or minimum spend. Larger volumes are negotiable.

Pinealon price by strength. Billed in USD; GBP shown for reference. Each box contains 10 vials.

Important: Not a medicine and not approved for any use in any country. The peptide bioregulator literature is dominated by a single research programme and independent replication is limited.

Handling

How should Pinealon be stored and reconstituted?

Sealed vials tolerate ambient temperature in transit and keep at −20 °C beyond that. Reconstitute slowly down the vial wall, swirl rather than shake, then refrigerate at 2–8 °C and aliquot before freezing.

Research Context

What is Pinealon researched for?

Below is a plain-English summary of what published research has investigated, and what it has found. These are descriptions of research activity and published results. They are not claims about what Pinealon does, and nothing here is a statement that it is safe or effective for any purpose.

Research status Pinealon is a Glu-Asp-Arg tripeptide from the Russian peptide bioregulator programme. The proposed mechanism - that a three-residue peptide enters cells and modulates gene expression by interacting with DNA directly - is unusual enough to warrant caution, and most of the supporting literature originates from the group that proposed it.

The proposed mechanism

The EDR tripeptide has been studied for effects on gene expression and protein synthesis, with published work relating it to markers examined in models of Alzheimer pathology. The claim is that peptides of this length reach the nucleus and act on transcription directly rather than through a cell-surface receptor. 1

Related work in the same series

Closely related short peptides from the same programme have been reported to alter expression of cytoskeletal and nuclear matrix proteins, which is the broader basis for the bioregulator concept. 2

What is not established

Independent replication outside the originating programme is limited and the direct DNA-binding mechanism is not widely accepted. Treat the published effect sizes as provisional.

Applications

Where Pinealon is used in the laboratory

  • Short-peptide bioregulator research, the family of tripeptides and tetrapeptides from the same programme
  • Gene expression studies, the mechanism proposed for this class
  • Neuroprotection models, the area Pinealon is most often placed in
  • Comparative work alongside Epitalon, the best known peptide from the same series and also in this catalogue

Verification

Does Pinealon come with a COA?

Yes — every box. Each batch of Pinealon is analysed by Janoshik Analytical or Freedom Diagnostic, and the certificate is tied to the batch number on the vial label.

Questions

Pinealon questions, answered

What is a Khavinson peptide?

A family of very short peptides, mostly two to four residues, from a long-running Russian research programme. The proposed mechanism is unusual: that peptides this small enter the nucleus and influence transcription by binding DNA directly. That is a substantial claim, and the supporting work comes largely from the group that proposed it, published in Russian-language or Russian-affiliated journals. We list what has been published and say plainly where independent replication is absent.

How much does Pinealon cost?

Pinealon starts at $6.58 per vial, sold in boxes of 10 vials at $65.75 per box (about £51.94). 3 strengths available: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg. There is no minimum order.

How is Pinealon shipped?

Tracked, in plain packaging, dispatched within 1–2 working days. Country-by-country estimates are on the shipping page.
