Short answer
What is Cagrilintide?
Cagrilintide is a long-acting synthetic analogue of amylin, a hormone released from the pancreas alongside insulin. A fatty-acid chain extends its half-life to about a week, and it is in clinical trials together with semaglutide. We supply it as lyophilised powder in sealed vials, boxed in tens, for laboratory research use only.

What is Cagrilintide?
Overview
Cagrilintide in detail
Cagrilintide is a long-acting analogue of amylin, the 37-residue hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells. It carries a fatty-acid chain that binds albumin and stretches its half-life to a once-weekly interval. It is being developed alongside semaglutide on the reasoning that amylin and GLP-1 signalling reduce food intake through different routes. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in sealed vials, boxed in tens, for laboratory research use only.

| Research status | Cagrilintide has completed phase 2 as a single agent and has phase 3 data as part of a combination with semaglutide. That puts it further along than most compounds in this catalogue, and the trials are published in major journals rather than as preprints or conference abstracts. |
| Documentation | Batch-specific third-party COA |
These are catalogue target specifications, not batch results. The 99%+ purity figure is the specification we buy to. The authoritative figures for any particular box are the ones printed on that box’s Certificate of Analysis, which is lot-specific. What research grade actually means explains the difference. Terms such as HPLC purity and net peptide content are explained in the peptide glossary.
We make no “third-party verified” claim for a batch unless the matching report is supplied with it. Ask for the current COA for the lot in stock before you order — we will send it.

Storage & reconstitution
Handling
How should Cagrilintide be stored and reconstituted?
Sealed vials tolerate ambient temperature in transit and keep at −20 °C beyond that. Reconstitute slowly down the vial wall, swirl rather than shake, then refrigerate at 2–8 °C and aliquot before freezing.
Why each of those matters, and what a freeze–thaw cycle actually costs: peptide handling and storage reference. How long a mixed vial keeps: reconstituted peptide shelf life.
What it is researched for
Research Context
What is Cagrilintide researched for?
Below is a plain-English summary of what published research has investigated, and what it has found. These are descriptions of research activity and published results. They are not claims about what Cagrilintide does, and nothing here is a statement that it is safe or effective for any purpose.
What the trials found
A phase 2 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial reported dose-dependent weight reduction with once-weekly cagrilintide as a single agent in people with overweight and obesity. The combination with semaglutide has since been reported in phase 3, where coadministration produced greater reductions than the trial populations achieved on either agent alone. 12
Why amylin and GLP-1 are combined
Amylin and GLP-1 reduce food intake through different receptor systems. The rationale for pairing them is additive effect without escalating either dose - the same logic behind multi-receptor single molecules such as retatrutide, approached from the opposite direction. 2
What is not established
Long-term outcome and safety data beyond the trial periods is not yet available, and no regulator has approved the compound or the combination.

Laboratory uses
Applications
Where Cagrilintide is used in the laboratory
- Amylin and calcitonin receptor pharmacology, the receptor family cagrilintide acts through
- Comparative work against GLP-1 agonists and the dual and triple agonists in this catalogue
- Combination studies with semaglutide, the pairing that has reached phase 3
- Acylation and half-life extension research, since the fatty-acid strategy here is the same one used in semaglutide and retatrutide
Batch COA
Verification
Does Cagrilintide come with a COA?
Yes — every box. Each batch of Cagrilintide is analysed by an independent third-party laboratory, and the certificate is tied to the batch number on the vial label.
Example COA. You receive the certificate matching your own batch.
Questions & answers
Questions
Cagrilintide questions, answered
How does cagrilintide differ from a GLP-1 agonist?
Different hormone, different receptors. GLP-1 agonists act at the GLP-1 receptor; cagrilintide is an amylin analogue acting at the amylin and calcitonin receptor family. Both reduce food intake, but by separate routes, which is the argument for combining them rather than escalating the dose of either. The published combination data is with semaglutide.
Is Cagrilintide legal to buy in the UK?
Cagrilintide is not a controlled drug in the UK, so buying it as laboratory research material is not an offence. It has no UK marketing authorisation, so it may not be sold or supplied for people to take. Our guide Is it legal to buy peptides in the UK? sets out the law in full.
How much does Cagrilintide cost?
Cagrilintide starts at $11.93 per vial, sold in boxes of 10 vials at $119.28 per box (about £89.36). 3 strengths available: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg. There is no minimum order.
Can I buy Cagrilintide 10mg vials in the UK?
Yes. Cagrilintide 10mg comes in boxes of 10 vials at $160.14 per box ($16.01 per vial, about £119.98 per box), sent tracked to UK addresses. There is no minimum order.
How is Cagrilintide shipped to the UK and USA?
Tracked to the UK, USA, EU and worldwide, in plain packaging, dispatched within 1–2 working days. Country-by-country estimates are on the shipping page.
