About Lipo-C
What is Lipo-C?
Overview
What is Lipo-C?
Lipo-C is a ready-made solution of L-carnitine with amino acids and B vitamins. It is not a peptide. The two strengths differ in their ingredients as well as their concentration: the 526 mg/mL solution contains L-carnitine, methionine, inositol, choline, vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and NADH; the 120 mg/mL solution contains carnitine, methionine, choline chloride, dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) and L-arginine. Supplied ready to use in sealed 10 mL vials, boxed in tens, for laboratory research use only.

Storage
Handling
How should Lipo-C be stored?
Lipo-C is supplied as a ready-made solution, so there is nothing to reconstitute. Keep vials sealed, upright and away from light, and keep an opened vial refrigerated at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Check the label of the batch in stock for its own storage instructions.

What it is researched for
Research Context
What is Lipo-C researched for?
Below is a plain-English summary of what published research has investigated, and what it has found. These are descriptions of research activity and published results. They are not claims about what Lipo-C does, and nothing here is a statement that it is safe or effective for any purpose.
L-carnitine
L-carnitine transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria to be broken down for energy, which is why it appears in lipid metabolism research. 1
What is not established
No published controlled study has tested either formulation. Evidence exists for the separate ingredients only.

Laboratory uses
Applications
Where Lipo-C is used in the laboratory
- Lipid and fatty-acid metabolism research, where L-carnitine carries fatty acids into the mitochondria
- Lipotropic nutrient research on methionine, inositol and choline, the compounds historically grouped as lipotropic
- One-carbon metabolism, where methionine, choline and vitamin B12 are linked
- Comparison between the two strengths, which differ in both concentration and ingredient list
Questions & answers
Questions
Lipo-C questions, answered
What is in Lipo-C?
It depends on the strength. The 526 mg/mL solution contains L-carnitine, methionine, inositol, choline, vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and NADH. The 120 mg/mL solution contains carnitine, methionine, choline chloride, dexpanthenol and L-arginine. The amount of each ingredient per mL is in the batch documentation, which we send on request.
Is Lipo-C a peptide?
No. It is a mixture of amino acids, vitamins and related nutrients, catalogued with the vitamin and amino blends. It is supplied as a liquid, so unlike the peptides it needs no reconstitution.
Is Lipo-C a medicine?
No. Lipo-C is not a licensed medicine, and the material sold here is not for injection or any human use. It is supplied for laboratory research only.
How much does Lipo-C cost?
Lipo-C starts at $6.64 per vial, sold in boxes of 10 vials at $66.42 per box (about £49.76). 2 strengths available: 120 mg/mL, 526 mg/mL. There is no minimum order.
