What the trials found
A phase 2 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial reported dose-dependent weight reduction with once-weekly cagrilintide as a single agent in people with overweight and obesity. The combination with semaglutide has since been reported in phase 3, where coadministration produced greater reductions than the trial populations achieved on either agent alone. 12
